Essential gear I use, gadgets I love, and other things I recommend for optimal baby life.

I get asked a lot about the things I use to stay cute, comfy, and entertained. Here's a big list of all of my favorite stuff that helps me excel at being an adorable baby.

Sleep Station

  • Deluxe Cushy Crib, Cloud-Soft Mattress, 1 TOG Sleep Sack

I was using a basic bassinet before this, and the difference is night and day (though I'm not quite sure which is which yet). I've never slept so soundly, even under the incredibly heavy loads I put it through with my frequent midnight snack demands.

  • White Noise Machine, Deluxe Edition

The only sleep aid on the market if you want something that drowns out the sounds of your parents tiptoeing around. When you're working at achieving REM sleep, every decibel of white noise counts.

  • Handcrafted Mobile with High-Contrast Patterns

They don't make mobiles the way they used to. I insist on this any time I see it being changed and keep a watchful eye to ensure it's always in perfect spinning condition.

  • Parent-Activated Pacifier

Something about the way it magically appears in my mouth makes me feel like a wizard with special powers. I really like feeling like a wizard with special powers.

Feeding Equipment

  • Ergonomic Bottles with Anti-Colic Vents

I don't care if it's missing all of the fancy features everyone else's bottles have, this is still the best milk delivery system ever made.

  • Hands-Free Bottle Holder

I'm honestly not even sure what features I get with this that aren't just part of being held, but it's what I use when I'm feeling independent.

  • Bib with Catch-All Pocket

Great gear for messy mealtimes. Has saved my parents from changing about a thousand onesies over the past month.

Entertainment

  • Interactive Play Mat

We started using this as just a place to lie down, but now it's become my virtual playground for tummy time and batting at dangling toys. Never would have expected the crinkly sounds to be the real hook.

Productivity

  • Light-Up Musical Toy

It's not the newest kid on the block but it's still the most captivating. The supreme ruler of the toy box world.

  • Baby Milestone Tracker App

Using a daily tracking system instead of trying to keep things organized by developmental stages has been super powerful for my parents. And with this app, it's still easy for them to keep all of my accomplishments discoverable even though all of my growth happens day by day.

  • Video Baby Monitor

Great tool for my parents to check on me while protecting my sleep and making sure I still have lots of time for deep REM during the night.

  • Swaddle Blanket

Simple tool for blocking distracting arm movements when I need to just do the sleep and get some growth going.
